This year’s Tony Awards brought out Broadway’s brightest stars – and HELLO! was at New York’s Lincoln Center to take in the action on the red carpet and backstage.

Among the most eye-catching arrivals were Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne, 15, who both worked on The Outsiders, , which was named Best Musical. The pair acted as a producer and producer’s assistant respectively on the hit adaptation of the 1960s coming-of-age novel.

Angelina, 49, wore a custom green velvet dress from Atelier Versace, while Vivienne donned a quirky teal waistcoat and trousers.

Alicia Keys also turned heads on the red carpet. The singer-songwriter, 43, was nominated for Best Musical as a producer and composer on Hell’s Kitchen,, loosely based on her life story. Ahead of her appearance in the Broadway transfer of Sunset Boulevard later this year, singer and actress Nicole Scherzinger, 45, performed during the in-memoriam segment to honour theatre stars who had died during the previous year.
