Short for reverberation, reverb adds a virtual feeling of space to a sound, making it sound as if it were recorded in a particular environment such as a church, concert hall, or bathroom. To that end, Logic’s ChromaVerb, introduced in version 10.4, offers a wide range of different virtual spaces in which to place your sounds. ChromaVerb is an algorithmic reverb, which means that it generates its effects mathematically in real time according to the parameters you set, and there’s no shortage of preset effects on board to use as starting points. Step-by-step Enhance your sounds with ChromaVerb

Drag ‘Chroma Drums.wav’ from the Tutorial Files folder and release it into the Tracks area. This creates a track containing the audio region. Set up a cycle region.

In the Channel Inspector, click on the channel strip’s ‘Audio FX’ slot and choose Reverb>ChromaVerb to insert an instance of ChromaVerb. Hit play to loop the audio.
