Change the way you look & feel with iPhone, iPad & apple Watch

Creating a resolution to get fit and lose weight for the new year is an incredibly popular goal to set. Alas, giving up on the goal within a few days is also incredibly common. Being able to visualise your progress and to gamify your exercise and eating habits will bring muchneeded motivation, and it is more likely to help you succeed. This is where the iPhone and Apple Watch can work together to become your ideal virtual personal trainer, and you get to tailor the experience to suit your needs and abilities perfectly. We will show you some of the features you should concentrate on daily and also some thirdparty offerings that make getting fit much easier, and there are even accessories that can work with your Apple products to complete the picture. Perseverance is key to long-term fitness and weight management, and the simple advantage of being able to regularly check how you are progressing will change everything. This is why Apple concentrates so heavily on fitness and why the company is succeeding so easily. You likely already have everything you need to change your life for the better in one year.

Understand the Fitness app

The Fitness app, formerly called Activity, has largely stayed the same since it was introduced, but it is useful to understand what it does and what it is capable of doing. You can now use it with the iPhone if you do not own an Apple Watch, and the only difference is that you have one ring to fill each day rather than three.

Track your steps

Steps are a key metric if you are just starting a new exercise regime, and if you want to track your day-to-day movement. Even if you are undertaking more extreme exercise, knowing your step stats will be helpful for understanding your general progress.

With the StepsApp solution you can use a complication on your Apple Watch to track your steps throughout the day. Apple does not display steps in any official complication.

The StepsApp iPhone app displays your trends and how many more steps you are completing over time. A daily target is not needed, but progress over time is beneficial.

If you use StepsApp for a long period you will see your trends over many years. Allowing the Apple Health app access will also give you all of the stats available.

When you first check out Fitness+ in the Fitness app, you will see a huge number of available workouts. Take time to check which ones
