Performance tweaks for Safari browsing
1 New blank pages
Open Safari and in Settings>General set Safari to open with a new window. Set new windows and tabs to open with an empty page for maximum startup speed.
2 Use Reader View
Strip out unnecessary adverts, sidebars and menus for speed. Select ‘Websites’ at the top, ‘Reader’ on the left and set to ‘On’ at the bottom. Set any exceptions if necessary.
3 Content blocking
Block unwanted content to speed up the web. Select ‘Content Blockers’ on the left and set to ‘On’ in the bottom-right corner. Configure exceptions to this in the list above.
4 Stop media playing
