ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE AS CHAS DROPS A BOMBSHELL ON HER FAMILY…
Chas has some lifechanging news for her family this week – and the resulting fallout sees Cain on the receiving end of Ruby’s fury!
Following her diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer,
Chas discovers that she has inherited the faulty BRCA2 gene, which increases the risk of inheriting certain cancers. However, as she breaks the news to her brothers and son that they should get tested, fiery Ruby interrupts the moment – and the situation spirals…
“This is one of the hardest conversations of Chas’ life – then whirlwind Ruby steams in and makes it all about her!” gasps our Emmerdale insider. “Cain and Caleb are trying to get their heads around this earth-shattering medical news, but an argument breaks out when Ruby demands to know what they’re talking about. Cain tries to calm the situation, and ends up with a knee to the groin for his trouble!”
Prior to Ruby’s rude interruption, Cain, Caleb and Aaron are blindsided by Chas’ BRCA bombshell and the implications it may have for their own future health. But then comes the realisation that as potential carriers, they may also have passed the gene on to their offspring.
As Chas makes plans to see Mandy for her birthday, she begs Aaron to make an urgent appointment for a gene test referral. In classic Aaron fashion, he’s non-committal about the matter and doesn’t take kindly to his mum’s constant badgering. But is his evasive attitude masking an internal panic?
Meanwhile, Chas’ shock diagnosis soon becomes the talk of the Dingle clan, which is when Ruby sticks her oar in. S
