The stars face your questions!
“When...?”
“Whatis...?”
“Where...?”
“Who...?”
“Why...?”
“How...?”
They ANSWER!
We know that cult leader Rowan has plenty of secrets to hide. So, it’s a good job that star Emrhys couldn’t be any further from his alter ego when he answers your burning questions!
“Did you know anyone from the Corrie cast before you joined?”
I worked with Jodie [Prenger, aka Glenda] about 15 years ago, when I was a dancer on a series called I’d Do Anything, which Jodie won. She and I got on like a house on fire back then, and it was so nice to be reunited with her. I recently spent the weekend at her amazing home. She’s such a great hostess with her beautiful partner and five dogs, three cats, and chickens! It was inspiring because that’s my dream, to have a big country house filled with lots of love and animals.
“How did you prepare for the role of Rowan?”
I’ve always been fascinated by the subjects that Rowan is involved with. My mum and dad were in a cult for two years about 22 years ago, and I made a movie about a sham guru and a wellness retreat not that different from Rowan’s. So I already had quite a lot of insight when I got the audition. But since beginning the role of Rowan, I’ve continued my research, because I want to try to make the story as believable as possible.
“What’s been your favourite scene to film so far?”
I’m really enjoying Rowan becoming even more mischievous. There’s been a scene recently with Toyah where I really push her buttons, and Georgia Taylor is such a wonderful actress and gives so much, that it was something I really enjoyed shooting. That’s as much as I can say!
“Can you tell us about a time when you’ve been really starstruck?”
I grew up watching James Bond, so when I met Pierce Brosnan on Mamma Mia, I was starstruck. I tried to play it cool, but I don’t know if it worked. I couldn’t really speak because he’s so suave and like James Bond in real life! It was an honour and a pleasure to work with him and the more I got to know him, the less starstruck I felt because he’s such a friendly, down-to-earth person. But when I first met him, I was like, “Oh my god! It’s James Bond!”
“You’ve been in plenty of music videos. If you had to choose a favourite, which would it be?”
It has to be Push The Button [the 2005 Sugababes track]! I grew up watching MTV as a kid, and as a teenager I was obsessed with music videos. I still am – I think they’re such a
