Make handy changes to your iPad’s Lock Screen with iPadOS 17
Since iOS 16, iPhone users have been able to create multiple Lock Screens featuring a host of widgets drawn from a wide number of first– and third– party apps. You can also take your pick from a selection of suggested wallpapers, alter the way the time is displayed, see helpful information at a glance, and play around with a variety of color schemes. In other words, it allows for greater personalization.
With iPadOS 17 this same functionality is now available on iPad, and there’s plenty to get stuck into. Want a Live Photo as your Lock Screen and see it animate? Well, now you can! Fancy a Lock Screen that reflects the weather in your area? No problem, you got it! You can even select an emoji and replicate it across your display, or create more than one Lock Screen for every occasion you could think of, from work to particular hobbies.
One thing’s for sure, Lock Screen creation is heaps of fun and, thanks to the widgets, it’s convenient, productive, and customized to your preferences.
How to Pick a new wallpaper
To change the wallpaper on the Lock Screen you currently have, go to Settings > Wallpaper and tap Add New Wallpaper. To start afresh, tap and hold on the Lock Screen until you enter the editing mode, then tap “+”.
Either scroll down and view the suggested and featured wallpapers, or use the options at the top of the screen. You can select images from your photo library, create a photo shuffle of favorite images, use emoji and more.
