STAR LETTER

I was surprised to see the opinion in the October edition of Jaguar World, that the I-Pace should not feature in a publication about Jaguar cars. The reality is that the days are numbered for all cars in their current form, therefore, it would be commercial suicide for any car manufacturer not to embrace that change. The reason that a Jaguar with an inefficient fossil fuel-burning engine can travel so far on a tank of fuel, is due to the energy density in hydrocarbons built up over millions of years by the planet. It will of course take a bit of time for our technology to catch up, but it will.

As for Jaguar values, the I-Pace is one of the fastest Jaguar production cars ever built: it has more space than most and the motoring press have said time and again that it is one of the best-looking cars of the modern era.

The fact is that I’m looking specifically for an XJ X358 from 2007 to 2010, which would be a lot more easy for me in all departments.

My prospective years of driving are of course diminishing fast now, but before Jaguar put us all in milk floats, I want one last hurrah with a proper one. However, low mileage and fine condition models are becoming a bit of a rarity, except those that are being imported from Japan.

My question is, are there any inherent or regular problems associated with these cars? They all seem to be advertised as being in fine condition, low mileage and of
