XJ X351 service kit
British Parts is now stocking a service kit for the 3-litre diesel engine in the X351 generation of the Jaguar XJ, which was manufactured between 2015 and 2019. The kit includes two air filters, oil, fuel and cabin filters and an oil drain plug.

Classic Pirellis for XK
With worldwide manufacturing difficulties affecting most sectors of the automotive industry, Longstone Classic Tyres has announced that it has recently received a fresh batch of 185VR16 Cinturato CA67 tyres from Pirelli. This is particularly important for anyone with a classic Jaguar XK 120, 140 or 150 because, as Dougal Cawley at Longstone explains: “In 1952, Pirelli developed the Cinturato; a radial tyre developed for sports cars. Today the 185VR16 Cinturato CA67 is the only genuine period sports car radial suited to these cars. It is also, we would suggest, the best handling road tyre for an XK produced today and a fresh batch has just been produced for the first time in a while.”
In addition to the Cinturato CA67, Dougal has also just received a batch of Pirelli Cinturato CN12 205/70VR15 tyres, which is a period low-profile tyre, suited to non-power-assisted steering Jaguars.
For classic Jaguars with power-assisted steering, he says: “The Pirelli P5 in the sizes 205/70VR15 and 215/70VR15 are the tyres best suited to Jaguar’s power steering cars of the 1970s and 1980s. We are expecting a fresh production soon. There is still presently stock of the 225/65VR15 Cinturato P5 that Jaguar fitted to the XJ40. And it is worth noting that the P5 is also J homologated by Jaguar themselves. Jaguar asked Pirelli back in 1977 to develop these tyres for its luxury cars, the XJ6, XJ12 and XJS. Jaguar was heavily involved in developing, testing and tuning with Pirelli to make the P5 suit their own exacting specification. It was quite a step forward in car and tyre manufacturing.”

E-Type bonnet lock
A full kit of E-Type bonnet lock assemblies (all internal bonnet lock cars), manufactured in stainless steel is available from AJ Autocraft. Late last year, SNG Barratt installed a series of metal 3D printing and manufacturing equipment and has recently begun manufacturing a chrome-plated luggage arm stop for the E-Type Series 1 and 2 FHC.
