In the June issue of Jaguar World we say farewell to the Jaguar sports car by driving across Spain in the F-Type 75 and revisiting the E-Type final edition, while taking a look back at Jaguar’s landmark Le Mans victory in 1953 which started the legend. By contrast we’ve also found a remarkably well preserved series 2 XJ12 and met an owner who has upgraded the X-Type into the car it could have been from the start. In the workshop, we run through subframe and sump removal on the Mk1 to access the XK engine’s oil pump, replace the air conditioning condenser on the XF, consider how CATS suspension works and bring you the lowdown on what it’s like to live with the X300 XJ.
