Netherite swords are more durable

Dear Ask Us Anything, My name is Leon and I'm 8 years old. I would like you to ask Mojang to add a bit more updates to Minecraft Dungeons because I LOVE playing it and I'm on Apocalypse mode! Hope you can answer me. Leon, Age 8Dear Ask Us Anything, How is a netherite sword better than a diamond sword? Is it just damage? Thanks, Ellie

Hey Leon! Thanks for sending in your letter – we’re big fans of Minecraft Dungeons too, although we’ve not been playing on Apocalypse mode, so well done for that! We’re sure Mojang is aware that Minecraft Dungeons is very popular still, though in all honesty it seems like the updates to that game are finished for the moment. It’s more likely (though completely unconfirmed!) that you might see a sequel game which brings new ideas and concepts to the franchise. After all, Minecraft Dungeons got months of new DLC and content updates added to the game after launch – that’s far more than most get!

Hey Ellie! There are a few ways. Netherite swords have about 25% more durability points, so they last longer, and they take enchantments differently – a netherite sword, like a wooden sword, has 15 enchantment points versus diamond’s 10 points, iron’s 14 points and gold’s 22 points. This means you’re more likely to get higher-level enchantments on a netherite sword compared to a diamond one. And – let’s not forget the obvious – netherite is SO hard to come by that it’s a lot easier and quicker to craft a diamond one!

Dear Ask Us Anything, My Minecraft name is sh1ft3ter. Can you please answer my questions? 1. When I use a stone cutter, it doesn't work. Why? 2. Can you give me a seed that starts you off next a mansion and a village? 3. Whenever I go mining in the Nether, I can't find netherite. Why?

4. I named a pig 'Dinnerbone' and it stayed the same – do you know why?

I'd love to be in your next mag! Thank you, Liam, age 10

Hey Liam! You ARE in our next issue! How’s that for service? Now onto your questions:

We’re not sure how you’re using it, but to make a stonecutter work you put (eligible) stone blocks in the leftmost slot, pick a shape, then take that shape from the rightmost slot. You should be able to use stone, cobblestone and any number of stone variants.

Not without knowing what version you’re using! Sorry – but you can find all the seeds you might want at www.minecraftseeds.co (not .com).

You can’t actually mine netherite in the Nether – what you need to look for is ancient debris, which needs to b
