Miniature Wargames Magazine
12 September, 2025
In this Issue 510 of Miniature Wargames we have another great selection of rules, scratchbuilds, and scenarios. The cover features Konflift ’47 and inside we have Yankee Doodle Painting some US Firefly miniatures from Warlord Games using Army Painter Historical Paints. The painting guide is extensive and could be applied to historical US forces as well. Send Three And Fourpence. The Ballad of Thomas the Rhymer is a Heroquest Adventure using last months free plastic figures to the max by Conrad Kinch. Stanger In A Strange Land is an Aztec outing (and with apologies to Robert A. Heinlein) we have four scenarios (with more next month). In Oosterbeek we have a glorious WWII defeat when out of pocket with some ideas for other similar actions. Prime Directive is the Command Decision where Jon Sutherland strives for a superior finish which requires a good start (and a flat end). The Battle Of Mount Badon is a Dark Ages pitched battle using Midgard Heroic Battles rules as seen at Partizan earlier on in the year. Pirates & Corsairs is Part two of ‘The Faversham Pirate’ by Chris Swan. For the Scratch Build we have a selection of wells and equipment for hydraulic relief: get pumping! Finally, we have the review sections with Defence in Depth for Figures and rules, plus we have Forward Observer for news and Recce for insightful book reviews.
