STAR LETTER A PRO IN THE MAKING
This is a photo of our son Jesse, who’s been a keen mountain biker since he was a toddler, and loves reading your magazine.
Jesse was able to ride for 10 miles before he was six – as long as he had an ice cream break somewhere in the middle! He got his Beavers’ cycling badge as a result of videos I sent to his troop leader, whose response was: “I don’t think we’ll bother getting Jesse to ride around cones in the car park!”
He’s now riding his new hardtail, which is equipped with an air-sprung fork, and can regularly be found blasting around Cannock Chase’s blue-graded Perry’s Trail, even throwing in a few red sections if the mood takes him.
Last week we met the GB BMX team having a practice session at our local pump track in Findern – a pleasant surprise!
I just thought I’d share Jesse’s story with you. We’re keen cyclists ourselves, and it seems he’s decided to carry on the tradition. Matthew Wainwright, Derbyshire
It looks like you may have a future GB athlete on your hands, Matthew! It’s great to hear about young ones who are so keen on progressing their MTB skills, especially from such an early age. Hopefully you’ll both enjoy putting the Lezyne tools that are heading your way to good use.
