Loyal Companion

Looking good, Cedric

Almost 40 years ago, we rescued this gnome from a skip. At that time Neighbours was favourite viewing, and Mrs Mangle had a gnome called Cedric, so our rescue one became Cedric, too. He moved from house to house, and after many makeovers he is enjoying springtime again, looking very bright and cheery! I love ornaments that have stories in the garden.

New Friend

Fancy a swim?

I picked up an unexpected friend while on holiday in Cape Town, South Africa. He was on the beach with his friends. They were having a great time.

My Lovely Family

Sibling bonds

These photographs are taken 40 years apart. David, Robert and Alison are as close today as they were back then. They all live nearby and are a great support when I need them.

A Bonny Bonnet

It’s a yes from John!

This is my husband John modelling the Easter bonnet our granddaughter previously made for the school Easter parade, and she also won a prize for. Doesn’t he look cute?

Different Tribute

A kind thought

I usually take flowers to the garden of remembrance in my parents’ memory. The gardens are surrounded by woods and grazing fields, the home of many woodland creatures, who often consider the flowers a perpetual “buffet.” While I’m sure no one minds that flowers sometimes feed bunnies and deer, it does seem this person had the forethought to remember their loved one and cater for the wildlife. It made me smile, and I’m sure my parents would have appreciated the moment, too.
