Geri Horner thought she could finally breathe a sigh of relief after her husband Christian was cleared of “coercive behaviour” towards a female colleague last week.

The Formula 1 Red Bull team principal was investigated throughout February after a colleague made the allegations, which Horner vehemently denied.

But while the investigation came to an end, just the day after, a file containing text messages and photographs purporting to be the alleged evidence in the investigation was “leaked” by an anonymous account online.

Christian released a statement in response, once again denying the allegations but refusing to comment on the anonymous leak. It read, “I will not comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations.”

And a source tells new that Geri has been left feeling very “hurt, unsettled and insecure”. They added, “She’s putting on a brave front but these leaked text messages have put a strain on things again and she knows everyone will keep talking about the situation. She felt like they had got over the worst of it and was elated when Christian was cleared, but things just aren’t going away.

“She thought it was all over but it feels like the nightmare won’t end. She’s trying to stay strong in front of everyone but behind closed doors she’s struggling. The alleged messages have rocked her. Thankfully, she’s receiving a lot of support from those around her and she’s putting her all into focusing on her kids.”

Another source told new that, strong as she is, living through this nightmare is something Geri won’t forget easily.

“Geri is so relieved that Christian has been cleared as the allegations were putting a strain on everything in her life,” they said.

“She told Christian she would stand by him and he had always denied any wrongdoing to her, but that doesn’t mean the whole experience hasn’t been upsetting for Geri. She feels the whole world has been talking about her.”

The former Spice Girl, 51, stood by her husband throughout the ordeal and was labelled “his rock”, but could find it hard to move on after such a public scandal.

“She was terrified about what was going to happen and it’s been a really testing time. She just wants to move on as quickly as possible and forget about it and will put on a united front
