Reality star Jess Hayes has added to her family with a beautiful baby daughter named Zendaya Rose, new can reveal. Jess, who won Love Islandback in 2015, welcomed her little girl on 30 April with her businessman fiancé Zeb and has now shared all the details in her first interview since giving birth.

Jess is already mum to a son named Presley, four, from a previous relationship, and has heartbreakingly suffered two miscarriages in the past; losing her son Teddy at 19 weeks in 2020 and another baby last year.

Here, the 31-year-old tells us how amazing it feels to finally have her “happily ever after” with baby Zendaya Rose – who she nicknames Zenny – and fills us in on her labour story…

Hi, Jess. Congratulations on your new arrival! How are you doing?

I’m good, I’m very tired though – I think reality is starting to hit! It’s been two weeks since I gave birth and I feel like I’ve been trying to do too much. When you have two children you feel like you need to just be OK straight away after giving birth and get back to mum duties, so I think I might have pushed myself to get back to normal too quickly. But overall I am feeling OK now, it’s just like having a permanent hangover without the alcohol!

How was the labour? Did everything go to plan?

It was a really smooth labour actually, I had a water birth. My partner came home from work and my water broke in the evening so we got to the hospital at about 7pm and I had her at around 10.30pm. I only had gas and air during the actual labour, which didn’t do anything, so it was painful. It was worse this time than my first labour because Zenny was a lot bigger than my son Presley was, he was only 6lb 11oz and she was 8lb 4oz. I was worried when she first arrived because the umbilical cord was slightly wrapped around her so she was a little bit purple and wasn’t crying, I think Zeb and I both freaked out a little bit, but she was absolutely fine. I had my mum and Zeb both with me but he kept trying to wind me up during the labour. He was playing drum and bass music and messing around with the gas and air!

How has she been since?

She’s been amazing. She’s a really chilled baby, more relaxed than Presley was I’d say. Although, today she has been crying the house down, but usually she’s quiet! I’m only getting up in the night every tw
