How quickly the months have passed and another year is drawing to a close. The Covid virus, with which we have now come to terms for the most part, has been followed by the Ukraine war with unexpected effects. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the polo tournaments almost without restrictions. In view of the comfortable situation, I feel a bit grateful. Gratitude for economic independence, health and the many friendships that have developed over the years thanks to the sport of polo and which we all cultivate with so much enthusiasm. On the occasion of the II FIP European Arena Polo Championship we travelled to Baku and were thrilled to see what the ARAF under the presidency of General Elchin Guliev in cooperation with Reto Gaudenzi (World Polo) have built up in 10 years of joint work. Irina Gaudenzi has played a major role in the success of this cooperation. We met Reto Gaudenzi’s wife in Baku.
