Practical Caravan Magazine
22 May 2014

I’d like to bid you a fond farewell IF FEELS LIKE the end of an era: this is my last issue with Practical Caravan. I joined the mag back in 2000, and have been privileged to steer it in recent years as group editor. As a boy I loved exploring the great outdoors, and it’s a thrill to witness my own children’s joy every time I fling open the van door on site in the morning. Caravanning has been the passport to the best holidays of my life, and I’ll miss this job terribly, along with all of you I’ve had the fortune to meet. Thank you so much for your support, and I’m sure you’ll extend the same warmth to Alastair Clements, who replaces me next issue. Happily, I’ll still be involved in this great hobby of ours: I’m going to work for the Camping and Caravanning Club, so do say hello at shows and on sites over the coming months.
