St George’s Festival

The country estate of Wrest Park in Bedfordshire makes a suitably salubrious venue for celebrating St George’s Day (officially Tuesday 23 April) with a weekend of shows, battles, games, performances and family-friendly activities.

Mull Music Festival

Fans of Scottish music will be drawn to this weekend celebration on the beautiful Isle of Mull, featuring folk-rock bands, fiddle, accordion, dance and ceilidh bands.

Events take place at a range of hotel and bar venues in the charming town of Tobermory, a location familiar to fans of the BBC’s Balamory. Free entry.

Caerphilly Food Festival

Glasgow Kiltwalk

Stride out in style in Glasgow, for Scotland’s largest mass walking event. All you need is a kilt! There are three walks to choose from – the Mighty Stride (23 miles), the Big Stroll (14 miles) and the Wee Wander (three miles), and it’s all for charity. Entry fee is £20.
