Shuttleworth D-Day Weekend

25-26 May 2024

This splendid D-Day memorial weekend in Bedfordshire sees the imposing arrival and departure of the D-Day Squadron Legacy Tour and the chance to view the iconic aircraft fleet up close.

Enjoy the historic military and collection vehicle displays, vintage bus rides and access to the unique Shuttleworth Collection, and the Swiss Garden and playground.

You can also get a chance to sit inside a Spitfire (separate ticket required). Adult tickets for the event cost from £20.

Midlands Air Festival

31 May - 2 June 2024

This family-friendly event at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire will feature exciting warbirds (1), classic jets, helicopters and great aerobatic performances, plus some of the largest radio-controlled models throughout the world.

The main flying displays are on Saturday and Sunday afternoon; keep an eye out for the parachute display teams. There’s also the chance to take a hot air balloon ride. Adult tickets from £30.

English Riviera Air Show

1-2 June 2024

With spectacular flying displays over the two days, this free show, which can be viewed from the natural amphitheatre that is lovely Torbay in Devon, includes an event village with a funfair, local craft stalls and lots of food and drink.

Expect to see the Red Arrows (Saturday only) and the RAF’s Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4.

There will also be a variety of displays and demonstrations taking place out on the water.

Newtown Outdoor Festival

1-2 June 2024

A full programme of outdoor activities can be enjoyed at this Mid-Wales event, including everything from walking with alpacas to sing-a-long family strolls. Have a go at sports such as archery, fishing, cycling and climbing. Go dancing at the traditional ceilidh, with music by the Monty Folk Band. Many activities are free.
