Georgina Haughton, head of wine buying at Sainsbury’s, shares her favourite bottle for November

‘This Brouilly from Château de Pierreux is a perfect accompaniment to your Christmas dinner. Brouilly is one of just 10 wine-producing crus that can make Beaujolais, and this is a fantastic example. It’s made from the gamay grape and is more similar in structure and finesse to red Burgundy than to Beaujolais. These cru wines are very popular at the moment because they offer such great value compared to red Burgundy. Château de Pierreux is a 13th-century property and they own some of the best plots in the region. So give it a go with your roast turkey this Christmas.’
