SEVYLOR ADVENTURE INFLATABLE KAYAK KIT
Manufacturers of pumps and compressors must be jumping for joy at the moment, with a massive and growing range of inflatable awnings, furniture and outdoor gear on the market. Here, we are looking to take to the water this summer with an inflatable kayak from Sevylor.
While it can seat two, if the other half prefers a paperback to a paddle, this marine vessel has adjustable seating to allow solo kayaking. A removable fin can be fitted to enhance handling and bungee cords can help secure accessories you need easy access to.
Use the supplied foot pump to inflate easily with single interface valves. The kit also includes two paddles (which look like they can be combined to make a double-ended paddle for solo canoeists), a carry bag and a repair kit.
While paddles do come apart for easier storage, if you have a smaller campervan you might need to get the measuring tape out. The kit will also use 11.5kg of your payload.

Nope, we are not advocating getting yourself a medieval farm worker to tend to your campsite pitch, we are actually looking at a modern picnic basket. Yes, this collapsible Cerf storage container from Easy Camp could be used for other things, but we’re currently listening to the Beach Boys, so summer is front and centre of all topics.
Simply pack your picnic contents (and maybe the complementary Cerf Picnic Box with plates, cutlery and beakers), secure the lid and use the handle to carry your al fresco dining options to the location of choice. The lid then doubles as a small table for serving with folding legs. There’s even a drink holder and a groove to keep your phone at the right angle for catching up on your YouTube subscriptions, including our very own MotorhomeCampervan channel.
Then, when back at the ’van, you can either collapse it flat for storage or use it as a organisation box.
And the meaning of the word ‘cerf’. Well, we’re not entirely sure why the Danish company picked this word, but the only translation we could find was French for deer, which this basket certainly isn’t at £25.99 (the complementary picnic box costs £30.99 for the four-person M version).
