What a year it has been for the Prince and Princess of Wales: from the happy highs of Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee in June 2022, to the shock and grief of her passing a few months later – then to the celebrations when the new king, Charles III, was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 6th May 2023. There’s no doubt this has been a period of great change for the monarchy in the transfer of titles and responsibilities – and in particular for this royal couple, as William becomes heir apparent.
