Our cover car this month is a supercharged E63 M6 and it's simply awesome. Its owner, Sam, has been continually evolving it over the years he’s owned it. The amount of work that’s gone into it and the attention to detail are just something else, and the end result is an absolute beast of a build that is guaranteed to get your heart racing. If you like full-on, hardcore builds, then you’re going to love the F87 M2 Competition we’ve got in this issue, and this was the first Team Schirmer GT build in North America. This is another car built with absolute focus and commitment, and the results speak for themselves – this is an astonishingly complete machine. And you can’t get more hardcore than an actual racing car, in the shape of the Vink Motorsport E9 CSL replica we’ve got. From shell to podium-placing racer in the space of just two years, it’s every bit as epic as you’d expect it to be. Keeping it epic, how about a supercharged LS V8-swapped E36? So many people turn their noses up at non-BMW engine swaps, but while some stunning engines have emerged from Bavaria, there’s a big wide world of magnificent motors out there, and life’s too short not to explore and experiment. But this E36 is so much more than just its engine, and it’s an absolutely sensational third-gen Three. If that’s a bit much for you, then we have a couple of classics to chill you right out. From Cyprus comes an S50-swapped E30 Cab, and this spicy soft-top ticks all the boxes that make this tastefully modded 3 Series sure to please everyone. And then, from the UK, we have one of the nicest E21s we’ve ever seen, in the shape of a simply stunning and absolutely immaculate build that is a joy to behold. We’ve also got an in-depth guide to the E9x 3 Series family, a show report on the spectacular German Car Festival, and loads more besides.
