Woman & Home Dinner Tonight Magazine

Hello... Welcome to issue 7 of the tablet edition of Dinner Tonight. Coming up with new ideas for dinner, day in and day out, is never that easy, is it? I hope our 20 meals in 20 minutes will give you lots of new inspiration and, most importantly, they won’t break the bank! Look out especially for our great-value recipes peppered throughout the pages of this issue – designed with economy in mind. Chicken is everyone’s favourite supper and quick to cook too so, as always, we have lots of yummy new ways to spice it up. I’m sure, like me, you’re hoping that we’ll see some sunshine over the next few weeks so that the evenings warm up and we can cook on the barbecue and maybe have drinks outside with friends. We have a lovely Sunday menu for enjoying alfresco, together with lots of barbecue recipes that are so much more exciting than the usual burgers and bangers, and some fabulous salads that are great for main meals as well as sides. Of course, we couldn’t do an issue without mouthwatering desserts and cakes. Ice cream is everyone’s standby pud, but next time you want something a bit more exciting, transform that tub of ice cream into something more special by simply stirring some extra goodies through it. And if you have something to celebrate, why not create our fabulous tiered sponge cake filled with fruit and topped with sparklers? It will put a smile on everyone’s face! Mitzie Wilson, Editor
