Next year will be MAKE OR BREAK for William & Harry

They were once as thick as thieves, but the last few years have seen fractures appear between the brothers. Could that be about to change?

The passing of their beloved granny saw something of a reunion for the Prince of Wales and his brother, the Duke of Sussex. But with the latter now back stateside planning the release of his tell-all memoir and William set on ensuring the safety of the monarchy as he settles into his role as first in line to the throne, is there any chance of a full reconciliation? Entering the new year with their father as the monarch, 2023 could act as a clean slate for the brothers. As our royal columnist Duncan Larcombe says, ‘Blood is surely thicker than water.’

THE CORONATION

Will the duke turn up for what will ultimately be one of the most significant days of his father’s life? As Duncan says, ‘Prince Harry has a duty to support his father on the day of the coronation. No matter how strongly he feels about the royals, Charles is his dad, facing the most significant day of his life. By coming along, Harry avoids his absence from being seen as a snub to his father. If not, it could even look as though the Duke of Sussex doesn’t see his father as suitable for the job.’
