BLAST FROM THE PAST

Last week I went to a lecture and saw a woman wearing the exact cardigan I made in 1982 from a pattern in your magazine [January 1982 issue]. Hers was knitted by her mum, was much better fitting, and we even had the same buttons. It was my first (and last!) attempt at knitting a garment. Brideshead Revisited was on the TV and it was all the rage then.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

I wish you’d diversify your Christmas coverage. I have a small family and find myself lacking in comparison by not having parents, large friend groups, children or massive feasts. Many people celebrate alone and it is a shame not to hear about the lovely day that they have planned.

A FRIEND IN NEED

Reading your star letter from the January edition reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend who has confidence and anxiety issues. I recommended woman&home to her, as I have always found it helpful. She read a copy and enjoyed it, so now buys it regularly.
