DANNY ‘The reality TV world isn’t ready for me’

Over the years, the ups and downs of Danny Dyer’s career and personal life have been the subject of many column inches.

Just weeks ago, the star admitted he’d undergone therapy and had checked himself into a psychiatric unit six years ago – not celeb fave The Priory, ‘because I didn’t want crisp white bed linen or candles or any of that b****cks’. But now, at 45, Danny tells Woman, ‘I’ve learnt how to control my brain.’ We caught up with him to discuss his new show, Scared of the Dark, what it’s taught him and how he’s managed to get a handle on his fears.

Danny explains, ‘I meditate and I do stuff to calm the noises down a little bit and not get too carried away with some of the conspiracy theories in my brain about sh*t that’s happened in the past or what can happen in the future.’ And while he’s looking ahead, Danny doesn’t fancy trying his hand at a reality show like the one he’s just hosted, saying, ‘I’ll stick to hosting, I think… I don’t think the reality TV world is ready for me.’ He continues, ‘I don’t need to test myself. Scared of the Dark airs every night from Sunday 16 April to Thursday 20 April at 9pm on Channel 4

PIERS AND SUSANNA REUNITED

It was recently reported that Piers Morgan had hit out at his former Good Morning Britain colleagues for not supporting him when he left the show. But it seems he’s still on good terms with Susanna Reid, as they headed out for breakfast together. Piers, 58, shared a picture and teased a return to GMB, writing, ‘Good morning (again) Britain! Been a while since we last had breakfast together… lovely to see you.’ He famously quit the show in 2021 and has since moved to TalkTV, while Susanna, 52, continued to host the ITV show – but could this be a si
