Phil and Steph back together!
They separated four years ago when he came out as gay live on This Morning. But despite that – and the furore he caused following his ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger man – Phillip Schofield and wife Steph are still putting on a united front.
The former couple remain married and were pictured together just days after their 31st wedding anniversary and on Phil’s 62nd birthday, carrying matching puppies. So, what’s really going on?
Almost a year ago, in a well-publicised fall from grace, Phil’s world fell apart overnight when he dramatically stood down from This Morning. In his exit statement, the presenter, who shares daughters Molly, 30, and Ruby, 28, with Steph, said, ‘I am deeply sorry for having lied… Most importantly of all to my family. I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.’ He later added, ‘I had a wonderful marriage, have a wonderful marriage, although it’s not brilliant right now, with an incredibly supportive wife and two wonderful children.’
But now the pair seem to have patched things up, if their recent outing is anything to go by. A source explained, ‘Steph is, and always will be, Phillip’s support system. She hasn’t divorced him because she doesn’t want to see him fall any further.’ They added, ‘Phil has caused his wife a lot of hurt… But there’s no denying they still have a great friendship and share a lot of love.’

– a gold-plated iPhone and an array of designer handbags, we can only imagine what Posh will unwrap this year.
