DESPICABLE DIDDY

My jaw hit the floor as I watched the footage of a grown man violently assaulting his partner with punches and kicks. It was the CCTV that rocked the world and finally brought down the multi-award winning, billionaire American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Don’t forget, he’d vehemently accused his victim in the CCTV from 2016, then girlfriend Cassie Ventura, of making it all up.

After all, that’s the modus operandi of most women-beaters – gaslight the victim and call her a liar. Worse still, he claimed Ventura and multiple other women were ‘looking for a quick pay day’ and pledged to fight for ‘the truth’. Well, newsflash Diddy – CCTV doesn’t lie. And that’s why I am calling BS on his fake Instagram apology.

Whining into the camera about how ‘difficult’ it was to reflect on his ‘darkest times’ he tried to make us see him as the victim. Claiming he has ‘sought professional help’ and has been ‘going to rehab’, he failed to mention the one person he really needed to apologise to, his ex. American singer and long-time critic of Diddy, Aubrey O’Day, observed on X (formerly Twitter), ‘Diddy did not apologise to Cassie. He apologised to the world for seeing what he did.’ Diddy’s rival 50 Cent posted sarcastically, ‘Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent, this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all.’ The statute of limitations in the US – which I think should be scrapped – means Combs won’t ever face assault and battery charges for this incident, just because it happened over 12 months ago. That’s despite evidence that I believe would be sufficient to prove his guilt in court. In my view, Combs should be jailed and his sentence should be extended for publicly victim blaming and compounding her suffering.

He’s clearly selfish, abusive, violent and controlling. He can’t control his own basic instincts. How ironic that in British slang ‘diddy’ means small. What a pathetic little man.
