DAVID BECKHAM

Pilates isn’t just an exercise for women. Former footballer David, 48, credits it for his incredible body. He revealed, ‘I do an hour of Pilates a day. It is fantastic and fitness-wise, I am the best I have been for a long time. I am in the best shape in years.’

DAME KELLY HOLMES

As a former Olympian, who won two gold medals, Kelly is an expert when it comes to fitness and exercise. Sharing how she stays active now that she is retired, the Loose Women panellist admitted, ‘I’m a big advocate for stretching and doing activities such as yoga and Pilates – they’re so underrated.’ Kelly, 53, added, ‘Not only do they help to build core strength, they’re also a great way to practise mindfulness and dedicate time to focus on you.’

ROCHELLE HUMES

Alongside her job on This Morning, Rochelle juggles being a mum to three kids and running her own business, so it’s not surprising that she has little time to work out. So how does she stay in shape? ‘Pilates is my go-to exercise,’ said Rochelle. She explained, ‘Finding time to work out during the day is hard, so if my husband Marvin is in, I’ll get the kids in bed by 7pm, jump in the car to Zero Gravity near my home in Essex and squeeze in one of the 7.30pm Reformer classes.’

The star added, ‘Those 45 minutes are enough to help me transition out of working-mum mode and just… do me. People think it’s just stretching, but they’re wrong. Those classes are so challenging, I can’t think about anything else when I’m in that room.’
