She prides herself on being a hands-on mum to Zachary, 15, Leighton, 10, Rex, three, Rose, 18 months, and newborn Belle, but with husband Joe regularly working away, leaving her to solo parent, Stacey Solomon admits it’s tough going. The star, who gave birth to Belle in February after a surprise pregnancy, candidly told fans, ‘Lately I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job,’ as she explained, ‘three 3 and under and two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy.’

During her pregnancy, Stacey revealed, ‘[I’m] trying to keep my head above water… Joe’s gone away for work for two weeks so I’ve just been trying to get into the swing of it all… without him.’ While Stacey is no doubt still learning to juggle life as a working mum of five, those close to her are concerned that she makes time for herself too. Talking about night feeds and how she was hoping for an early night to catch up on her sleep, she admitted, ‘I can’t function.’ While a source has explained, ‘Stacey loves being a mum, but without Joe’s help she’s struggling… she needs some down time.’

OPENING UP

The star, who recently asked fans, ‘Am I having a midlife crisis?’ as she discussed whether or not to get a tattoo tribute to her brood, has been praised for being honest about the realities of motherhood. But after admitting, ‘100% of the time I feel absolutely f****d!’ and that she hadn’t washed her hair in three weeks, is she in need of a helping hand? An insider says, ‘Some friends wonder if she is spreading herself too thin and could end up having a wobble if she doesn’t look after herself.’

Alongside enjoying the newborn bubble, Stacey is still focused on her career. She recently opened up about her fears for the future and work drying up, saying, ‘Nothing in this industry is guaranteed… I think, “We’re comfortable now, but something’s going to
