Woman's Weekly Knitting & Crochet Magazine
8 May 2014
Hello and welcome to the May issue of Knitting & Crochet magazine. It’s always exciting to start planning the contents of any issue, and never more so than at the beginning of spring. Now, at last, we can look at a fresh palette of colours for the season, in lightweight, cooler yarns for the warmer days ahead. Our opening family patterns feature, Painting With Pastels (p6), illustrates this perfectly: practical easy-wear designs made in the prettiest new-season shades. Still looking ahead, we know that many of you will be planning tabletop sales and other fundraising events this spring and summer. Our collection of fete makes (p29) – mini storage boxes, decorated picture frames, lavender pouches, bunting, mini shoppers and jam jar covers – should give you some inspiration for unique pieces to sell. Why not colour-theme your projects, as we have, for extra ‘stop and look’ appeal? Plus, we’ve our regular visit to the Woman’s Weekly archives: this month, a three little bears pattern; our Designer of the Month, Debbie Bliss, and her lace cardigan and stole patterns; and not forgetting knitting and crochet workshops, your Q&As, and much, much more. See you next month! Kandy Regis - Editor
