Bringing back memories
Thank you very much for the feature on Zoë Henry, Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk [6 February issue].
I was privileged to work with both Zoë and her husband Jeff Hordley (aka Cain Dingle) during several busy years as a ‘village regular’ on the show. Both actors were indeed much more cheerful and friendly than the characters they portray, and it was good to see how happily Londoner Zoë has embraced living in Yorkshire.

I made this festive gnome from a pattern in Woman’s Weekly [21 November 2023 issue]. Our grandson was thrilled to find it in his Christmas stocking.

I don’t usually shop midweek, so by the time the weekend comes, my supermarket doesn’t always have your magazine. So I took the decision a few months ago to subscribe. What a joy it is on a Saturday morning to receive my copy delivered by post, days before it’s on sale in the supermarket. In between the household chores, I’ll sit with a cuppa and try the crossword and wordwise. My bedtime reading for the remainder of the week is the short stories and enjoying Rosie’s weekly column. Before I know it, my next weekly ‘hit’ is delivered once again.
