Throughout the evening, money was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Penny Appeal. Yorkshire’s most prestigious awards were presented to NHS Yorkshire, John Burkhill, Yorkshire Tea, Angloco, George Webster, Tyrone Salmon, Kevin Sinfield CBE, Channel 5, Sheffield Sharks, Stephen Cottrell (Archbishop of York), Gabby Logan MBE, and Timothy West CBE. A special award was presented to Sir Rodney Walker who started the awards back in 1988.
