Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful medieval market town on the banks of the river Avon, full of half-timbered buildings and more than 800 years of history, but it’s best known as the birthplace of 16th-century playwright and poet William Shakespeare.

During this trip you’ll learn more about The Bard and enjoy a Shakespeare Experience guided tour, including Anne Hathaway’s cottage, William Shakespeare’s house and school, and the guildhall – along with a Tudor lesson.

Also on the itinerary is a trip on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, where a train will take you from Cheltenham racecourse to the historic village of Broadway. Travel through the Cotswolds – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and take in the sleepy hamlets en route with sensational views of the Malvern Hills and beyond.
