EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW AND PHOTOS

As well as settling into a new home with their dogs Aslan and Bear, Gareth and Ollie are preparing for the expansion of their family with twins – a boy and girl, already captured in baby scans – due this summer

O ver the past three and a half years, Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke have shared every twist and turn of their heartbreaking road to parenthood. During their journey with surrogates, the two Made in Chelsea stars endured sadness and disappointment as three pregnancies failed.

But now, the couple have got wonderful news to share with HELLO!.

After announcing at the end of February that they were to become parents to twins, we can exclusively reveal they are expecting a boy and a girl this summer.

Speaking while showing us around his and Ollie’s new house in London’s Chelsea, Gareth says: “As we get towards the finish line, it’s become very much more real.

“It felt like our lives were on hold, but now it feels like we’re moving forward. The babies coming along has reinvigorated everything.”

It’s clear Ollie and Gareth are relishing every second of the experience they have waited so long for.

Proudly holding up the tiny baby clothes he has already bought for their daughter, Gareth holds back tears as he speaks about how he can’t wait to be a dad.

A MOMENT TO REMEMBER

The couple found out their surrogate Bex Ward, who lives in Chester and has two sons, was pregnant when they were on a skiing holiday in Courchevel, France.

Unable to cope with his nerves while waiting to hear the results of a six-week scan, Gareth, 34, took to the slopes, while Ollie, 36, was left “absolutely terrified” back at the chalet.

Ollie tells us: “I then got into a car and I was on my own going towards the slopes and I knew the phone was going to ring. Bex rang and showed me two pictures of two scans and I burst into tears.”

Gareth continues: “I was on a chairlift and when we got to the top I thought: ‘Ollie has called me so many times. It must be good news,’ and I spoke to him and literally, I filled my ski goggles up with tears.”
