Using 3.25mm needles and your choice of yarn, cast on 13 sts fairly loosely

☐ Rows 9-18: rep Rows 4-8 twice more. 19 sts
☐ Row 19: k to end
☐ Row 20: k1, k2tog, k to last three sts, k2tog, k1. 17 sts

☐ Row 33: k1, k3tog, k1. Three sts

To make up
Take one section and stitch another one to each side. Join sides of hexagons to form a cup shape for one half of ball. Repeat with remaining hexagons. Sew halves together, leaving a gap for stuffing. Tease out small amounts before inserting into ball, filling to a well rounded shape with a smooth feel. Close opening. Sew motifs onto ball when ready

Using 3.25mm needles and yarn A, cast on 50 sts
