Life’s A Beach
I have waved the family off to work, so what shall I do today? The washing, clean the windows? Oh, no – I am going to the beach hut. First put the kettle on and settle down with a book. When I go home, my daughter is first to arrive, saying, “I’ve had a busy day mum. How about you?” – “Oh yes, very busy.”

Show Stopper!
I love this photo of my grandad back in 1955, taken at the local agricultural show. How smart he is in his white shirt and tie, but incredibly baggy trousers. I wonder if he was possibly tempted by the bill poster on the wall behind him to go along to Odeon to watch The Country Girl. With the glamorous Grace Kelly as the star, it was probably not quite the country life he was used to!

Crafty Kid
My 12-year-old great granddaughter Ava Rose decided to teach herself crochet and this is her first attempt. She is remarkable whatever she does in craftworkand drawing.

Singing In The Shower!
Rain didn’t stop my husband Dave recently. He certainly made me smile with his version of Singin’ In The Rain during a recent visit to Masham in North Yorkshire.

Ring In Spring
I had to have my picture taken alongside this fantastic, converted phone box full of flowers in beautiful Bolsover. I’m ringing up spring!

Bin There, Done That
Whenever we try tidying up the rubbish in our house it can turn out to be a challenge, because our cat, Coco, loves to sit in the bin.

Special Delivery
Ordering lunch on the Isle of Man, I was astonished when this lovely robot appeared and said, “Take your dinner” with eyes flashing, before rushing to the kitchen. Is this the face of things to come?
