We’re Wishing…

A happy birthday to former James Bond and star of the Mamma Mia! films Pierce Brosnan who, incredibly, turns 71 on May 16. Yes, we know he can barely sing in tune but we loved him playing one of Sophie’s dads in the ABBA-based musicals. His next role is in the boxing biopic Giant, playing Irish-born trainer Brendan Ingle alongside Amir El-Masry (from The Night Manager) as Prince Naseem Hamed. Knockout!

We’re Towering…

Over Blackpool as we head for the seaside and climb to the top of the famous tower that opened exactly 130 years ago! Now closely associated with BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Blackpool Tower has much more to offer than just dancing.

So if you’ve never been, or haven’t seen it since you were a child, jump on tram and hit the heights!

We’re Blooming…

As we wander in the sunshine (hopefully!) through Chelsea Flower Show, which runs from May 21-25. It’s organised by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London, and is the perfect place to visit for gardeners and green-fingered fans from across the UK with stugshow gardens and celebs to spot. Tickets start from £47.

Ourselves for comfort with these super-cute dungarees from the Paula Echevarria range at Primark. You may be aware that Spanish store Mango has launched a range by Victoria Beckham and now Primark has done the same in reverse, hooking up with Spanish model (and footballer’s wife!) Paula Echeverria to drop a cool new collection at great prices. And dungarees! No uncomfortable waistband, no clingy fabrics, and no need for a belt. Perfect for spring weather, and days when you eat too much pizza and ice cream in the sun.
