AMARULA LIQUEUR

Creamy liqueurs are always popular at Christmas. I love the flavour profile of Amarula because it’s not as sweet as some others, it’s slightly lighter in texture and has an almost citrus brightness to the finish.

ROSEMARY

I do like rosemary in drinks. If you’re having something simple that you could make with, say, ginger and apple juice – a long drink that’s quite refreshing – a stick of rosemary is a different kind of festive garnish.

It also works in a gin and tonic, actually.

I like the gently pepperminty, smoky flavour that it adds.

JUDE’S VANILLA ICE CREAM

This has a lovely creaminesss to it. For a simple cocktail at Christmas time, stime, blend ice cream with some white rum or vodka, swirl chocolate sauce up a glass, add some crushed ice and then your booze blend.

SAINSBURY’S DISCOVERY COLLECTION FRONTON WINE is perfect with the bold flavour of cranberry sauce. It’s also not too heavy and full of fruitiness, so it’s a bit of a crowdpleaser.

Grated FROZEN STRAWBERRIES look fantastic over a drink. Frozen fruit also looks great as a cocktail garnish with the bonus of helping to keep them
