THE RIGHT McCALL

I thought your Davina profile [November] was awesome. My favourite quote was, ‘I work hard for this body, it doesn’t just happen. I watch what I eat and I work out regularly. I don’t care if that annoys people and that is so liberating.’ Having spent decades reading magazines about how my 50s will be the best time of life, I finally feel it is. Thanks Davina!

STYLE CRIMES

Your feature Need Some Help, Gents? [November] made me howl. My partner wears shorts all year round, and on the rare occasions that he wears long trousers, he always says, ‘I’ve got my big boy pants on.’ He’s 52! I’m going to show him this article.

What an extensive and confusing range of products in November’s feature on beauty buys! My dear grandmother used mild soap, Pond’s Cold Cream, and a dash of glycerine and rose water from the local chemist. Her skin was lovely. Why is our beauty regime now so complicated?
