Alison SPARKS FURY

She may be the new golden girl of telly, but it seems Alison Hammond has finally put a foot wrong – angering a fellow celeb in the process.

It all began on This Morning, when after hearing that a performance of The Bodyguard musical was stopped due to audience members singing over the actors, Alison, 48, said, ‘I can’t believe it. I’d be devastated, I’m not even going to go to that show now.’

Her comments sparked a backlash, with Alison later issuing an apology: ‘I had no idea the level of disruption audiences were causing and tried to make light of the topic on Wednesday’s show, and for that I’m truly sorry.’ However, former Strictly judge, Dame Arlene Phillips. 79, wasn’t impressed, claiming that Alison had ‘no idea what it’s really like for those performers in the shows where the songs are popular hits and certain members of the audience feel entitled to join in.’

The news comes as Alison was dealt another blow, as her BBC show Friends Like These has been axed after the pilot. Still, the star isn’t letting anything get her down, assuring fans she’s not going anywhere when it comes to This Morning. ‘I’ll never leave,’ she claimed. ‘I’ll be there until I’ve got a walking stick and grey hair.’ We’d love to see it!

Ryan and Blake put roots down near Wrexham

New York City may boast top restaurants and Broadway shows, but it looks like one A-list couple could be opting for a much quieter life. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have reportedly purchased a £1.5 million home in a small Welsh village near Wrexham, where Ryan, 46, co-owns Wrexham Association Football Club. Speaking of their purchase, a source revealed, ‘Ryan is moving to Marford and it’s all the locals can talk about. His house is on the poshest road. The most famous person from Marford is Tim Vincent from Blue Peter, so a Hollywood star is a step up! It might not be the Big Apple, but the red carpet will be rolled out when Ryan comes to town.’ Just don’t tell them about the British weather.
