At 60, Kaye is taking stock

The last time we caught up with Kaye Adams, the Loose Women anchor was worrying about turning 60. In fact, the star revealed that she would often lie about her age. However, after hitting the milestone last December, she’s now feeling pretty confident about her new decade and is even planning on making some major life changes as a result.

Speaking exclusively to Woman’s Own, Kaye reveals, ‘I started a podcast called How To Be 60 and it has actually been enormously helpful. It’s good to be thoughtful about your life as it’s easy just to drift and keep on doing what you’re doing, whether you’re enjoying it or not, because it becomes comfortable.’

I think I’d get enjoyment out of it.’

With Kaye regularly working on Loose Women, does this mean we could see her leave the show? ‘Honestly, Loose Women never feels like particularly hard work as I get a lot of pleasure from it,’ Kaye reassures us. ‘I’m spending time with my pals. But ultimately, in television you’re rarely the one that decides to walk away – that decision is usually taken for you.’

Recently, Kaye’s co-star Carol McGiffin revealed she has taken a step back from the show due to problems with her contract, later branding the programme ‘woke’. And while Kaye is unable to go into details, she does say that she’ll keep in touch with Carol whether she returns or not. ‘We laugh because Carol says we’re not her friends, we’re people she works with. She says it as a joke, I hope, because I consider her to be a friend. Our relationship won’t be affected by whatever decision she makes in regards t
