Posh Spice, mum, wife, fashion designer and singer… Victoria Beckham has a whole host of different titles to go by. But one that she won’t be adding to her list any time soon is grandma.
Since her eldest son Brooklyn’s 2022 nuptials to American billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, there have been rumours that Vic, 49, and her daughter-in-law don’t get on. Just weeks ago, Woman’s Own reported that the pair had put their alleged feud aside after VB attended the premiere of Nicola’s new film, Lola. However, after giving a fiery response when quizzed about the prospect of Nicola and Brooklyn making her a grandmother, the question has been raised as to whether Victoria and Nicola really did bury the hatchet after all. that he’s eager to start a family. ‘I could have had kids yesterday,’ he admitted in 2022.
Yet while the hopeful chef, who turns 25 this week, says he wants to be a ‘young dad’, his mum isn’t on board with his plans. ‘Oh, Jesus! What?’ a shocked Victoria replied when Vogue asked if she was excited to become a grandmother. Grabbing her collar and fanning herself, the former Spice Girl continued, ‘Hang on. I don’t think it’s happening just yet. Unless you guys know something that I don’t, it’s not happening just yet.’
Fans were quick to comment on Vic’s response, with one speculating: ‘Unusual reaction… Parents with married kids are usually genuinely excited about the possibility of grandchildren. I think she just doesn’t want to feel old.’ Others were more harsh in their reaction, with one stating: ‘Her saying it’s not happening just yet as if it’s in her control.’
