Start by placing the white candy melts in to a microwaveable bowl (I’m using an Electric Melting Pot) and warm gently in the microwave in 20-30 second bursts. Pop two teaspoons of the candy melts in to the mould and using the back of a spoon or a small brush, cover all sides of the mould. Poke the lollipop stick in to the mould, however take it straight back out

again (we’ll add the stick after the second coat) this stops the candy melts from sealing the opening shut. Pop in to the fridge for 15 minutes.

Take the mould out of the fridge and pop the blue lollipop stick in to the mould. Then give the mould a second coat of candy melts, using the same technique as before. Pop back in to the fridge for a further 15 minutes.

Next fill the mould with a cake filling of your choice to just under the top edge.

Cover the top of the cakesicle with a final coating of candy melts. Leave to set in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Once fully set, gently ease the cakesicle out of the mould.

Roll out some red sugarpaste and use an alphabet stamp cutter to cut and stamp out the letter ‘A’.

Using the same red sugarpaste, use a small square cutter to cut out a red square shape. Use a scalpel or sharp knife to cut the corners off to create a plus sign.

Use a ruler and an edible royal blue pen to draw on the lines.

Pop some edible glue on the back of the letter ‘A’ and the plus sign and stick down onto the cakesicle.

Repeat steps 1-4 using the red candy melts and red lollipop stick.

Once fully set, gently ease the cakesicle out of the mould.

Roll out some green sugarpaste and use a small leaf cutter to cut and stamp out a leaf shape.

Mould a piece of brown sugarpaste into an apple stalk. Slightly pointy at one end and rounded at the other.

Pop some edible glue on the back of the stalk and leaf and stick down onto the cakesicle.

Roll out a small piece of black sugarpaste and cut out a small circle and stick down onto the bottom left corner of the cakesicle.

Take some green sugarpaste and roll into four small ball
