PlantBased Magazine
6 March 2020

Hello, Welcome to the March issue. The promise of spring is in the air; although the weather isn’t always on our side, the nights are definitely starting to draw out a little bit. Long, warm days might still be a way off, but these coming weeks are all about change and renewal, and I love it. Talking of change, it might be that you’re reading this magazine as one of 2020’s brand new vegans. This year’s Veganuary was record-breaking, with over 300,000 pledging to take part by 1st January alone. Taking that step into a plant-based diet and vegan lifestyle can seem daunting at first, but hopefully you quickly realised that it’s a change that is becoming easierand easier. Every time I go to the supermarket, it feels as though I spot one more new product that I once thought was off-limits. Whether you’re an old hand at this vegan lifestyle or you’re brand new to it, I hope that PlantBased can be a useful resource to you. Our biggest aim is to show the world how truly amazing food can be without using a single ingredient from an animal. In this issue, we’re providing all the inspiration you need to treat your mum to an amazing Mother’s Day. Whether you want to bring her breakfast in bed, treat her to a homemade Afternoon Tea, or bake a delicious edible gift, we’ve got you covered. We’re also serving up an Italian feast like no other; it’s possible to enjoy pasta, breads and desserts on a plant-based diet, and we’ll show you how. Elsewhere, we have food you can share with the ones you love, easy weekday dinners, and lunch on the go. And we’re looking ahead to Vegan Life Live at Alexandra Palace; don’t forget to get your tickets, as it will be a weekend to remember! Come and meet the PlantBased team on Stand D3.
