As I write this, hopeful about the summer ahead, it’s the greyest, windiest and most miserable day! I have high hopes that we’ll have at least some sunny days, because we’ve packed this issue with loads of recipes that are perfect for alfresco dining. We don’t want to be crammed under a parasol waiting for a shower to pass before we can enjoy a plant-based feast! BBQs are amongst my very favourite ways to spend a sunny day; either in my garden or someone else’s (though if it’s not mine I can relax with a drink!), enjoying delicious food and the company of people I love. We’re sharing 13 amazing recipes with you this month that should inspire you to dust off that BBQ and get grilling, and it’s not all burgers and sausages! You’ll really impress your guests if you serve up some of the incredible dishes in this issue; don’t forget to take some photos and let us know how you get on. We’ve also got some picnic ideas for you; getting out into nature is wonderful, and packing up some delicious food makes it even better. You’ll find recipes for everything from a delicious Picnic Pasta Salad to Dark Chocolate Tahini Brownies – perfect picnic food. Getting the kids in the kitchen is a great way to introduce them to different kinds of food, so we’re sharing some Kids Cook Vegan recipes, as well as ten tasty lunches, and a host of summer drinks ideas. This is another jam-packed issue!
