In the April issue of Jaguar World we revisit the first of the TWR-modified XJRs and compare the late-model XJS with the XK8. On the classic scene, we encounter a stunning XK150-based special and look back at 60 years of the classic S-Type with a drive in a superb example. Meanwhile, we look back on 20 years of diesel Jaguars with a drive in a last-of-the-line X-Type. In the workshop, we run through replacement of the X350 XJ rear subframe and the technicalities of shimming the Jaguar IRS, while considering what you need to watch out for if you’re in the market for the aluminium XK.
